NOTICE OF A PERSONAL DATA BREACH

This information applies to guests of Hotel AWO whose personal data were processed in connection with a stay or a reservation made on or after 1 September 2025, including reservations made after that date.

We hereby inform you that on 16 December 2025, a security incident occurred on the side of an external provider of the reservation system used by HOTEL AWO.

According to the information provided by the system supplier, unauthorised persons gained access to the server infrastructure, which may have resulted in access to a portion of hotel guests’ personal data. At present, it is not possible to clearly confirm which specific data may have been obtained; however, for security reasons, we are informing you about this incident.

What data may have been affected

The scope of data processed by our hotel in the system included only:

• first and last name,
• phone number (if provided),
• e-mail address (if provided),
• invoicing details (if provided),
• reservation information (stay dates).

The hotel did not process payment card data or national identification numbers.

Possible consequences

Due to the nature of the data, there is a risk of attempts involving:

• telephone or e-mail contact,
• impersonation of the hotel or its employees,
• attempts to obtain payments or additional information by referring to a reservation.

What we recommend

We kindly ask you to exercise particular caution:

• do not respond to suspicious messages or phone calls,
• do not click on links or provide payment details,
• verify any suspicious message allegedly coming from the hotel directly with us.

Actions we have taken

Immediately after receiving information about the incident:

• we initiated cooperation with the system provider to clarify the circumstances of the incident,
• we secured our IT environment,
• we reported the data breach to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office,
• we are continuously monitoring the situation.
